Now that the advent of "no-wash" board processing systems has eliminated the need for expensive sealed trimmer potentiometers, TT Electronics' BI Technologies Electronic Components Division has introduced a complete line of open-type trimmers. The RoHS-compliant single-turn devices come in seven models with cermet, carbon, or conductive plastic elements.
Six of the potentiometers feature resistances of 100 Ω to 1 MΩ. Sizes range from 3 to 15 mm, with all but the smallest available with side as well as top adjustment. Power ratings run from 0.1 to 0.5 W. Operating temperature ranges of –10°C to 70°C through –40°C to 125°C are available. Standard tolerances are ±20% to ±30%. The seventh version, the Model 91, features a 10-Ω to 2-MΩ resistance and is a 3/8-in. top and side cermet trimmer. It's rated at ±20% and 0.5 W, with an operating temperature range of –55°C to 125°C. The company will also produce trimmer pots to meet specific customer requirements.

As part of Vishay Intertechnology's Tantamount family, the T95 Hi-Rel COTS tantalum capacitors offer designers ratings not found in available MIL specifications. They also provide the flexibility and convenience of a commercial product without costly, time-consuming specification development. These conformal-coated devices come in capacitances of 0.1 to 680 µF and voltage ratings of 4 to 50 V.
