[Embedded World]
Silicon Laboratories To Showcase Innovative Demos

Staff  |   ED Online ID #14918  |   February 9, 2007

Location: Stand 132, Hall 12

Silicon Laboratories will present a total of four demos at the show, including two for recently announced products. One new product is an automotive MCU. The C8051F5xx automotive MCU family is comprised of high-performance mixed-signal MCUs in a small footprint, which is essential for many automotive electronics applications. With its high functional density, Silicon Labs hopes the C8051F5xx family of MCUs will provide customers with cost-effective and easy-to-use solutions for designing body electronics and other point-of-control applications, including power windows, doors, sunroofs, trunks, seat positioning, and mirrors.

Another new offering is Silicon's stepper motor reference design. This is a complete tool kit aimed at demonstrating the advantages of using high-performance analog peripherals in motor control applications. The stepper motor control reference design provides system solutions for popular small motor types, with an eye towards speeding time-to-market and reducing development costs.
