Platform Completes AdvancedTCA System

William Wong  |   ED Online ID #19271  |   July 10, 2008

The Element/Accelerator Platform delivers full software support of AdvancedTCA systems that typically include DSP farms to handle multimedia chores. Enea’s highavailability platform addresses fault tolerance from the ground up, including protocol stacks through application and chassis management tools. Software management tools address the complete system, including in-service upgrades. Developers can build on a fully functional system instead of spending time doing integration chores. The Linuxbased Element conforms to the SA Forum Specifications Availability Management Framework (AMF). It can support a range of real-time operating systems running on the DSPs, including ENEA’s OSEck. The dSPEED management services use the transparent, distributed Linx protocol to link the control and DSP farm together.
