Java Development Support Tool Runs On WebSphere And Eclipse
A development tool designed to enhance Java application development includes Code Audit and Code Metrics modules, Javadoc audit and repair tools, a design patterns database, a memory monitor, and other facilities. Called CodePro Express, the tool helps reduce the time spent on code reviews, documentation, and other development chores. CodePro Express runs on Microsoft Windows, Red Hat 7.2 Linux, and SuSe 7.2 Linux. The price for CodePro Express is $199 per developer. A one-year subscription with upgrade and maintenance support is $249 with a one-year upgrade and maintenance subscription.

PCI Controller Meets Mil-Specs
The Core1553BBC meets the rigorous Mil-Std-1553B specifications. It’s designed for use with the company’s FPGAs, including the space-qualified RTAX-S. The dual-redundant bus controller provides low-power operation at 12, 16, 20, and 24 MHz. Pricing for the Core1553BBC is $9995 for a single-use netlist. The Core1553BBC evaluation board costs $1800.

Mil-Spec IDE Flash Drive Delivers Ultra DMA-100 Performance
Available in capacities ranging from 1 to 16 Gbytes, the I35FB IDE Flash Drive meets Mil-Std-810 military specifications. The I35FB supports PIO Mode 0-4, Multiword DMA Mode 0-2, or UDMA-100 interface methods using a standard integrated-development-environment (IDE) 40-pin connector. Commercial, industrial, and military versions are available. The 12-Gbyte I35FB flash drive with a commercial temperature rating costs $12,324.

Serial ATA Failover Switch Key To Developing High-Reliability Systems
The 2:1 Serial ATA Failover Switch (VSC7175) targets high-availability Serial ATA I and Serial ATA II applications. The VSC7175’s standard mode provides two uplinks to Serial ATA host bus controllers and a single downlink to Serial ATA storage devices. It can operate in other environments, such as Serial ATA backplanes that use other operating modes. The VSC7175 can also act as a simple 3-Gbit/s Serial ATA port replicator. It comes in a 32-pin, 7- by 7-mm, QFP-N package and goes for $5.
